Nowadays graffiti is considered a form of communication, by which are issued messages trying to persuade others. This is a type of writing that appropriates spaces not designed for that purpose, such as streets, walls and public baths. For being part of every culture, graffiti can be perceived differently from one city to another.
- Colombia: The presence of graffiti has increased significantly over the last 10 years. Despite being one of the most stable Latin American cities, Bogotá is very insecure because of these expressions, which capture the inequality, violence and intolerance of some citizens who are victims.
